Improvements on Front cover, contents and double page spread

This is my final version of my front cover. I have made several changes to the magazine. The first thing I did was to change the fonts of the sub headings and make sure that they are all level with each other and at the side of the page. I also moved the subheading about LOL on life away from the picture as before it was over the picture but had nothing to do with the picture. The next thing I did was add a website to the front cover as throughout the magazine there are articles that have more information and picture on the website.  I then made the title of the artist and the main headline bigger so that they became more noticable and made the competition smaller.

This is the final version of my contents page. I have added more articles as my magazine will not have had enough articles to make the audience want to buy the magazine. I also changed the colour of the titles of Regular and Feature so that they stand out more.

This is my final article for the double page spread. I put the article into columns because that is a convention of a music magazine. I also added a drop cap at the beginning of the article because this is also another convention of a music magazine. I wrote a bigger introduction which explained why the magazine was using her as the double page spread article. I also added the page number at the bottom of the page to reinforce the contents page.

This is the final picture that will be on the second page of the double page spread. I only made two changes and these were putting quotation marks around the quote in the corner of the page and then added the page number to the right hand corner of the page to reinforce the contents page.

Online Marketing

If I was to market my magazine then I would make a paper advertisement that marketed my new magazine. This would be put onto flyers and billboards. I would also have a television advert that would be put on music channels such as '4music' and 'VIVA'. I have chosen these two channels because they appeal to my niche audience that my magazine is aimed at. They show pop music and feature artists that are featured in my magazine. Also because a lot of 16-24 year olds watch these music channels and therefore would see the advert for my magazine.
I would also make a website for my magazine. This would include events that are happening in the pop world. It would not stop the sales of my magazine though because they will be different sections on the website. For people that subscribe to the magazine, there would be a place where they can log into and get extra information about what has been in that week's magazine such as extra photos, extra articles and podcasts with the artists. For non- subscribers that still bought the magazine now and again there would be a code on the magazine that they have to put in on the website. This would allow them to see extra photos and backstage gossip about the artists featured in the magazine. For the people that do not buy the magazine very often the website will have a few photos and quotes from the articles to entice the audience to buy the magazine so that they can find out what happened. The website will benefit my magazine because more people will want to subscribe and buy the magazine because they will be getting extra information to everyone else. And to the people that do not buy them magazine it persuades them to buy it by only putting in parts of the article which will interest the reader and make them want to buy the magazine.

Final Double Page Spread

I have not really changed alot on my double page spread apart from changing the colour scheme so that it continued from the front cover and contents page

Final Contents Page

After getting audience feedback I changed my contents page. I carried on the new colour scheme onto this page and added quotes and information under the feature headings to intrigue the readers.
After posting this I realised that I had made a spelling mistake and decided that the regulars should also have a subheading or a quote underneath them. This is my final contents page
After posting this as my final and re-checking it I realised I had another spelling mistake. Here is my final contents page.

Final Front Cover

After getting audience feedback of my final front cover I decided to change the colour scheme slightly so that it was abit lighter. I took the colour from her belt and used it as the colour for the sub headings. I also changed the font of the subheadings to make the main headline stand out more.

Final Contents Page

Final Front Cover

After getting feedback of my target audience I have decided that this is my final front cover. They said that the purple was too much for the title but it still needed some colour on it so I get the slogan, price and issue in colour.
